Apply to be part of the Scottish Delegation at Hot Docs 2016!
Hot Docs is North America’s largest documentary festival offering a selection of over 200 films from Canada and around the world. Its industry conference and market offers professional development, networking and business opportunities to filmmakers and industry professionals at all levels of experience.
Hot Docs will run from 28 April-8 May 2016.
If you are a Scottish-based emerging documentary talent or you have a feature project supported by Creative Scotland or another key funder, apply to join the Scottish Delegation. We have 8 bursaries available to allow you to attend Hot Docs, supported by Creative Scotland’s Screen Skills Fund.
Your Hot Docs Delegation experience will include:
- A £1500 bursary (to be used for your travel, accommodation & accreditation costs)
- An All-Access Hot Docs Pass
- Participating in International Co-Production Day. Featuring panels and networking opportunities involving Official Delegations, International Co-Production Day seeks to spark new international co-producing relationships among delegates
- Free project submissions to The Festival Doc Shop, plus a featured index of films from delegation territory
- Access to the Scottish Networking Reception – Creative Scotland & Scottish Documentary Institute will host a reception during the festival to celebrate the talent present at the festival
- A one-to-one session with Scottish Documentary Institute. The session will help you to make the most of your festival experience. Date & location tbc
WHO?
You must be Scottish-based to apply.
For emerging producing or directing talent, one of your previous short films must have screened in a major film festival.
For established talent, you need to have a feature project (in development, production, post-production or distribution) with confirmed funding from Creative Scotland or other key UK or international funder.
