Arash’s films The Souvenirs of Mr. X in cooperation with ARTE and ORF, multi award winning Exile Family Movie. Mississippi and For a Moment, Freedom produced by Wegafilm and Les Films du Losange have won more than 50 international awards.
Arash will be discussing his background and the genesis of Everyday Rebellion. The journey from initial idea to the actual film and online platform with a live demonstration. From traditional, linear documentary to trans-media adventure, what are the challenges and realisations? (presskit)

We Are Many is the story of the biggest protest in history, and how it changed the world. On February 15th the streets of 800 cities around the world to try to avert the war against Iraq. Some estimated the numbers were as high as 30 million people.

Amir will be discussing his hugely experienced background and what it is to combine filmmaking and activism. He will also be talking specifically about this virtuous circle: a movement which happened 10 years ago inspired a film which is now inspiring people to embrace some form of activism…
