Bridging the Gap short film Mining Poems or Odes by Callum Rice has been selected to screen in competition at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival!
This exciting announcement follows the recent success of the film winning Best Short Film at the Scottish BAFTA’s in November.
The Sundance Film Festival, which takes place January 21-‐31 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden is one of the world’s premiere places to debut new independent
films and over the course of its more than 30-‐year history has launched films including Whiplash, Boyhood, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Fruitvale Station, Little Miss Sunshine, sex, lies, and videotape, Reservoir Dogs, and Napoleon Dynamite.
Callum, who will take part in an audience Q&A following each screening, says:
“I am delighted to have been invited. It will be tremendous to see Govan on the big screens of Utah! Without the funding and support from Creative Scotland and SDI this would not have happened and I am very grateful.”
