Applications are now open for Scottish filmmakers wishing to attend IDFA 2016 as funded delegates. Courtesy of Creative Scotland, SDI have ten bursaries for filmmakers to attend one of the world’s leading documentary film festivals which will run from 16-27 November this year in Amsterdam. Recipients of the bursaries will receive a £800 for travel, accommodation and registration fees, will be listed as part of the Scottish delegation in the industry catalogue, enjoy access to industry events and a one-to-one session with SDI on making the most of the festival professionally.
Full details of the Bursary package and how to apply can be found on our Delegations page. The deadline for applications for the IDFA Delegate package is Tuesday 4th October.
Delegations offer an opportunity to take Scotland-based producers and filmmakers to the core of the international documentary scene. Whether you are an emerging talent with one of your previous short films having screened in a major film festival or an established producer or filmmaker with a feature project you can apply to join one of the Scottish Delegations in 2016-17.
In addition to the ten bursaries for IDFA, thanks to the support of Creative Scotland, we will be offering six passes to Hot Docs, North America’s largest documentary festival (27 April-7 May 2017) and ten passes to Sheffield Documentary Festival, the UK’s Premiere Documentary Festival (9-14 June 2017.) Applications will open in 2017 and full details will be announced on the Delegations page.
