Applications are now open for established Scotland-based producers and filmmakers with a feature project (in development, production, post-production or distribution) with confirmed funding from Creative Scotland or other key UK or international funder and wishing to attend Hot Docs 2017 as funded delegates. Courtesy of Creative Scotland, SDI have four to six bursaries available to attend one of the world’s leading documentary film festivals which will run from 27 April-7 May next year in Toronto, Canada.
The Hot Docs Delegation experience will include a bursary to cover your travel and accommodation costs, an All-Access Hot Docs pass, access to many industry events and a one-to-one session with SDI on making the most of the festival professionally.
Full details of the package and how to apply can be found on our Delegations page. The deadline for applications is Wednesday 18 January.
Delegations offer an opportunity to take Scotland-based producers and filmmakers to the core of the international documentary scene. Whether you are an emerging talent with one of your previous short films having screened in a major film festival or an established producer or filmmaker with a feature project you can apply to join one of the Scottish Delegations in 2017.
You can read more about the Scottish delegate experience here in our IDFA 2016 blog post.
In addition to this opportunity we will have ten passes to Sheffield Documentary Festival, the UK’s Premiere Documentary Festival (9-14 June 2017.) Applications will open in 2017 and full details will be announced on the Delegations page.
