We’ve got a whole lot going on next week with the wonderful Open City Documentary Festival! The eighth edition of the festival will take place between 4th – 9th September 2018 in venues across Central London.
First up we have the London Premiere of Emma Davie and Peter Mettler’s feature, Becoming Animal, on Wednesday September 5th. The screening will include a Q&A with both directors and will be followed by a party in the Curzon Soho, which will assumedly be WILD! Open City will also be hosting a Case Study session on the film on Thursday 6th. Here the team will discuss the benefits and the challenges of Co-Producing the film.
Also on the 6th, Finlay Pretsell, director of Time Trial, will be appearing on the Unconventional Characters panel to share his experience making a biopic documentary. He will be joined by fellow filmmakers Sophie Fiennes and Pascale Lamche who have recently made films on Grace Jones and Winnie Mandela respectively.
