Two of Scotland’s best known broadcasters, Janice Forsyth and Jean Johansson, are bringing their passion for telling diverse stories that reflect life in modern Scotland to their new roles as ambassadors for Scottish Documentary Institute.
Janice Forsyth is an award-winning broadcaster and writer. She worked in the arts before writing for newspapers and presenting and producing many TV and radio programmes for BBC, ITV and Channel 4.
Janice currently hosts The Afternoon Show on BBC Radio Scotland focusing on all things arts, and in 2020 founded and launched Scotland’s first podcast network, The Big Light.
Jean Johansson is a TV presenter, broadcast journalist, and brand ambassador for People’s Postcode Lottery. The Kenyan-born Scot burst onto our screens after winning a nationwide search for a presenter which led to a long and successful career in children’s TV. Jean’s current TV appearances include presenting roles on A Place in the Sun, The One Show and Animal Park.
We can’t wait to work with Janice and Jean on future SDI activities and campaigns, along with previously announced ambassadors Halla Mohieddeen and Stewart Kyasimire.
