You’ll also explore budgeting strategies and how to craft a finance plan that balances ambition with reality. PRODUCTION & DISTRIBUTION DEEP DIVE WORKSHOP

This comprehensive session covers crucial aspects of documentary production and distribution. Learn how to manage cash flow, licensing, co-productions, and festival strategies, and how to tailor your distribution plan to meet your project’s goals. The session also breaks down sales strategies, audience development, and crafting effective recoupment plans.

- Payment menus for third-party material
- Co-production success: Cultural, financial, and social considerations
- Licensing: Is your footage worth something?
- Buyout vs. paying for 3rd-party material in stages

- Recoupment plans and gaming out worst-case scenarios

Roundtable Discussion: After the main session, join a 45-minute roundtable with industry peers to discuss key challenges and opportunities. You’ll be able dive deeper into your area of interest in a more intimate setting by choosing one of three dedicated roundtables:
