SDI Coffee Morning: Distribution and Sales with Dogwoof and MetFilm

Dogwoof’s Daniel Green and MetFilm’s Vesna Cudic join us to discuss distribution and sales for documentary projects, now and post-lockdown.

About this Event

In a wide-ranging discussion, Daniel and Vesna will talk about how COVID-19 has impacted on their sales and distribution strategies, before sharing their thoughts on launching films in this era.

We’ll also look at emerging virtual theatrical models and associated rights.

About Daniel

Daniel is Head of Home Entertainment at Dogwoof, one of the world’s leading documentary sales agents and distributors. He oversees the release of all of Dogwoof’s digital and physical titles both for the UK and internationally.

Dogwoof has so far released 26 Oscar®-nominated documentaries, with four wins and an additional three BAFTA winners; notable titles include Oscar®-winning and BAFTA-winning Free Solo (the UK’s highest grossing documentary of 2018), BAFTA-nominated Three Identical Strangers, Oscar®-nominated RBG, BAFTA-winning The Act of Killing and Blackfish.

About Vesna

Vesna is the Head of Sales & Acquisitions at MetFilm Sales. She joined MetFilm from Dogwoof, where she headed their international sales arm since its inception in 2011 until 2017, and where she was in charge of acquisitions, worldwide TV, and SVOD sales.

MetFilm Sales is a boutique international sales agency specialising in the sales of high-end single documentaries and series. MetFilm Sales offers to producers a full-service representation from packaging and pitching of projects, to help with raising finance and presales, to festival strategy and its implementation, marketing advice, and finally worldwide sales of all distribution rights across a multitude of media.

About the event

After a short discussion, filmmakers will be able to ask the panel questions. We’ll also invite attendees to join breakout rooms post-event for around 30 minutes.
