This is Scotland is a talent initiative run in association with Creative Scotland and STV that offers Scotland based filmmakers a unique opportunity to work with SDI to create two 22-minute creative documentaries for primetime broadcast on STV.
A third season of This is Scotland has been confirmed and the two newly commissioned films will be transmitted in early 2018 on STV. We will soon open the call for submissions and we would like to take this opportunity to prepare and inspire the best filmmakers to take part in this opportunity. A This is Scotland Inspiration Workshop, open to filmmakers who have directed at least 2 short films broadcast or publicly screened in festivals, will take place in Glasgow on Friday 10th March (2-5pm). This free Inspiration Workshop will offer participants:
– an overview of the initiative and its aims
– tips on how to improve their chances of being selected
– an opportunity to informally pitch their idea(s) and receive feedback
