The Producers Sessions is a new offering for Scotland-based producers working with feature documentaries.
An intensive two-day programme combining online and in person panel discussions, seminars, case studies, networking and bespoke consultations, the Producers Sessions will bring together a cohort of producers to hear from leading UK industry professionals on some of the strategic issues faced by the independent documentary industry and engage in ongoing topical dialogues.
The aim of the Producers Sessions is to create a safe and nurturing space for producers to brush up on the basics, learn, share experiences, and build connections with other producers working across Scotland.
Some of the topics covered during the sessions will include:
• Contracts & copyright
• Due diligence
• E&O Insurance
• Ethical budgeting and funding strategies
• Advocating for better mental health in the film industry
• Film marketing & PR
In addition to industry-focused sessions, selected producers will also receive individual consultancies to further support their career and projects.
For any further questions, please read the programme’s guidelines and contact us on info@scotdoc.com
Applications are free but if selected you will be asked to pay £35 (incl. VAT) for your place in the programme.
*Please note that we will have travel bursaries available for selected participants based outside Edinburgh and that lunch & networking drinks will be provided for the in-person session*
