27th February 2022 / News

A panel discussion at University of Aberdeen’s new Film initiative features our Festivals and Distribution Manager, Dr Alex Colta.

Aberdeen University has launched a series of mini festivals, UNI-Versal, that will be held throughout the year. It is a commitment to help the city recover from the impact of COVID-19.

The festivals will showcase Scottish cultural arts, and begins with the Dark Nights Film Festival, which it calls calls, “a perfect anecdote to the dark long evenings”.

Fans of the Bond and Highlander films will be able to attend panel discussions with leading actors, screenwriters and filmmakers.

Our own, Dr Alex Colta, is representing 50/50+ Women Direct, and will attend the panel discussion on diversity in the arts. She will be joined by Dr Clive Nwonka, lecturer in Film. Culture and Society in University of London, and Ica Headlam, founder of “We are here Scotland”.
