From a compelling pool of global submissions, twelve thought-provoking and visionary documentary projects have been selected to take part in the 19th edition of the Edinburgh Pitch. These projects — diverse in scope, urgent in subject, and united by a drive to push creative boundaries — represent some of the most exciting voices in non-fiction storytelling today.
We thank every filmmaker who shared their work with us. The quality and diversity of the submissions made the selection process both inspiring and challenging, and it’s a testament to the strength of documentary filmmaking around the world.
Join us for the Pitch on Tuesday 17th June. Observer Passes are now available.

ABOUT
The Edinburgh Pitch is Scotland’s only public pitching forum. The event is aimed at international independent filmmakers and production companies raising finance for ambitious and urgent feature documentaries in late development, production or post-production.
The selected teams will pitch their project to an industry panel on Tuesday 17 June. This year we’re delighted to be welcoming representatives from BFI Doc Society, IDFA, MUBI, Screen Scotland, Sundance Film Festival, SVT, The Whickers and a few more to be announced soon!
Two cash prizes will be awarded following the event, an Audience Award (£3,000) and an Industry Award (£2,000).
The Edinburgh Pitch is supported by Screen Scotland. The Awards are generously sponsored by the players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
