Documentary Masterclass: Ventura Durall - Scottish Documentary Institute

Documentary Masterclass: Ventura Durall

In collaboration with Cinemaattic’s SCAT Scotland Catalan Film Festival we are proud to welcome Ventura Durall, one of the key voices behind Barcelona’s documentary film resurge.

Scriptwriter, director, fiction and documentary producer. Graduated by ESCAC in the script speciality. In 2000 he established the production company NANOUK FILMS. His pedagogical vocation is reflected in his work for the prestigious ESCAC Barcelona Film School where he was Head of the Documentary’s Department. His previous works have been shown at festivals such as Sundance, Visions du Reel, San Sebastian, Locarno, Malaga, IDFA and HOTDOCS.

From script development to the limits of non-fiction, Ventura Durall will discuss his ideas on film production and direction. He will explore how to work systemically to maximise your own creativity, and teach how to create a personal vision from three levels of thought.

Ventura Durall will attend the Scottish premiere of The Night She Moves on Thursday 8pm at Cameo Edinburgh as producer of the film. His latest short-film Primer Estrat is also part of SCAT Scotland Catalan Film Festival programme. Check full programme at https://cinemaattic.com/scat-scotland-catalan-film-festival-18/
