Karen Bartlett graduated from Jesus College, Oxford with an MA in Experimental Psychology before joining Ernst & Young where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Whilst at EY, she worked on a wide variety of clients from large multinationals to small charities, specialising in financial systems. Upon leaving Ernst and Young she joined Glaxo Smithkline in worldwide finance. Karen stepped down from her role at GSK in order to support her daughter after she suffered medical complications at birth. Karen also helps to care for her husband who is living with MS. During this time, she has continued to be involved in charity work in both fundraising and financial roles. Karen is married with two daughters and spends her time equally between Edinburgh and the South of France. Karen is a supporter of the arts and uses her financial background in her role with the Scottish Documentary Institute.
