Syrian Stories | The Wait (2017)

Mohammed mutilated during the Syrian war, was offered to be relocated to USA for further surgery. Then Trump got elected and banned any Syrians to cross the border. Now he is waiting for a European country to relief him from his physical pain. Internet is his contact with the world and his job is to count and report on the daily casualties in Syria. Past and present ghosts linger in his bedroom, day and night.

This short documentary was made during a SDI workshop in Amman, organised by the British Council in partnership with Bidayyat for Audiovisual Arts.
