Charlie Phillips: Documentary Masterclass (2014)

Duration: 01:49:38

Charlie Phillips | Masterclass | 2014

Head of documentaries at the Guardian News & Media, Charlie Phillips, gives us insight into what online media platforms have to offer young filmmakers, and how news and broadcast methods are changing to include documentary. Phillips ran the successful ‘MeetMarket’ marketplace at Sheffield’s Doc/Fest for over 7 years where he managed projects such as the 6 month UK-wide training scheme Devise 2 Deliver, and was also on the team for the first UGC broadband channel Four Docs.

In this Masterclass, Phillips explains how to stand the best chance of getting a film made for the Guardian’s online documentary strand.

This Masterclass is viewable in the embedded video above.
