At SDI we are dedicated to supporting fellow filmmakers and their projects. If you have the passion and commitment to tell powerful stories in an innovative way then we want to help develop your idea by sharing our expertise and contacts with you.
Throughout the year we offer professional consultancies to Scotland-based filmmakers, for projects (shorts and features) in development, production or distribution. Our consultants include SDI core team members as well as first rate UK based and international external advisors.
The nature and length of the consultancy will depend very much on your project and how we best feel we can support you at the stage you are at. This can come in the form of a one-on-one session by offering advice on pitching and suggesting funding opportunities; we may be able to facilitate introductions to industry contacts who can help, or we may form a direct collaboration. Apply for a consultancy to open up a dialogue with us, receive support, and obtain knowledge from successful practitioners.
The more you tell us about your project, the better we are able to assess how we can be most helpful to you. Please complete our online submission form, giving us as much detail as possible.
SDI can not provide feedback on rough-cuts, and will only be able to look at video footage of up to 20 minutes.
