Alexandra Maria ColtaDistribution & Festivals

Alexandra joined the SDI team in 2019 to work on distribution and festival submissions. She has previous experience in film curation, programming films and events for Document Human Rights Film Festival and the Glasgow Refugee Asylum and Migration Network (GRAMNet) Film Series in Glasgow. Alexandra recently completed her PhD research on politics and programming practices at human rights film festivals.

Prior to that, she worked as a Marketing and Distribution Co-ordinator for a production company in Bucharest, Romania, where she helped short and feature films reach international audiences. Alexandra is passionate about creative documentaries that stimulate critical thinking and debate.
