Nae Pasaran to close Glasgow Film Festival!

17th January 2018 / News

We’re delighted to announce that the World Premiere of Nae Pasaran will be the closing film at this year’s Glasgow Film Festival in March!

The film charts the incredible true story of the Scots who managed to ground half of Chile’s Air Force, from the other side of the world, in the longest single act of solidarity against Pinochet’s brutal dictatorship. What started out as a successful Bridging the Gap short film in 2013, introducing us to the feisty Scots activists who undertook the political action inside the factory, became a five year investigation into Chilean fighter jet engines and the footnotes of redacted British-Chilean history.

With two hugely successful Kickstarter campaigns under its belt this is truly a film for the people and to be premiering in the city where the story began will make for a memorable night for all!

Check out the original short here:

The Closing Gala will take place on Sunday 4th of March at Glasgow Film Theatre.

Tickets for the Closing Gala will go on sale at 12 noon on Monday 22nd of January from glasgowfilm.org/festival
