We are very excited to announce our latest talent initiative – Right Here! Run in association with Screen Scotland and the BBC, the scheme offers Scotland-based filmmakers a unique opportunity to create a 30-minute creative documentary for broadcast on BBC.
The initiative is for two years, giving the opportunity to six filmmakers to air their film on BBC Scotland.
For the first round of commissions, we are looking for 3 directors who seek to explore the rich diversity of Scottish identity through character-driven stories and beautiful imagery. This is a unique opportunity for emerging directors to take risks on form and content.
The closing date for applications is 8 July 2019.
If you’d like to test some ideas out on us first, learn more about what we are looking for and how to apply then join us for one of our Inspiration Workshops in the following locations:
Edinburgh (EIFF) – Sunday 23rd June 2019 10am – 11.30am
Glasgow (BBC) – Wednesday 3rd July 2019 3pm – 5pm
Aberdeen (BBC) – Thursday 4th July 2019 12pm – 2pm

Hi Denise,
No age limit! Our only requirements is that the filmmakers must be resident in Scotland and have had at least two short films broadcast or publicly screened in festivals.
